Nigeria’s D’Tigers blow 11-point lead to lose 92-99 against Germany

The Nigerian team came as one of the favorites to clinch a medal in the competition after they beat the USA and Argentina in friendlies. But the D’Tigers team lost their opening game in Tokyo Olympics to Australia.

Both Nigeria and Germany had lost their first game to Australia and Italy respectively and had to battle it out hard in their second group games. 

Nigeria and Germany were levelled 50-50 at half-time and tied 74-74 at the end of the third quarter. But the Germans ran the show by taking the game beyond D’Tigers which ended 92 – 99 in favor of Germany.
